For Sale

Know anyone that is looking for a nice house in a quiet neighborhood? If so, send them my way.

I hate moving, but sometimes, you know it's time. Josh and I have been praying about this for several months and agree that God is leading us in a new direction. The first step: sell our house. We are waiting on God to see what the next step is. Exciting but scary. Believe me. . . we will keep you updated! In the meantime, please be praying that God would bring along just the right buyer.

That is an adventure!! God bless your family as you follow His leading & place your faith in His best for you all.

P.S. I am in a position to consider home-shopping, but the commute is a bit longer than I'd like! :o)

I'll be praying, too, but I can't guarantee what I'll be praying about... ;-)

Seriously, God's will be done, and may He grace us all to joyfully embrace it. He does all things well.

Wowza! I'd love to hear a bit more of the background, if you are able to share, like, what prompted this sallying forth and what are you looking for? Missions? Relocation? Job change for Josh? The great unknown?

God's grace and wisdom to you!

Hi Becca,

Thanks for sharing this with us! I'll certainly be praying for you and Josh as you step into this new waiting period. I wonder what He will do. And, I'll also be praying for that buyer. It's such a slow market in so many places right now. Has it slowed down in Modesto, too?

Kirsten: This might be your golden opportunity to move to the golden state! Just think sunshine and 70's. Surely you could find another job down here.

Mom: Amen. As one lovely hymn reads, "It may not be on the mountain’s height, or over the stormy sea; It may not be at the battle’s front my Lord will have need of me; But if by a still, small voice He calls to paths I do not know, I’ll answer, dear Lord, with my hand in Yours, I’ll go where You want me to go."

Jen: Right now we aren't sure what the next step is. Josh has a 40 minute commute (one way) and so our first step is to move closer to his current job. But, he's been with this employer for a while now and has been feeling lately that it is time to move on. Where the "move on" is to has yet to be determined. We're not opposed to staying here, but we're also open to God leading us elsewhere. Right now we're praying that God would begin opening doors.

Darci: Thanks for the prayers, even if they are geared toward Montana. With the prices of homes in Montana, it may not be such a bad idea. Do you know of any companies looking for a good computer programmer?? =)

Elizabeth: Hadn't thought of that option until today. . . I will mention it to Josh. That's not a bad idea!

Christianne: The market has slowed considerably, but it's not dead. Had we sold last year, we probably would have been able to sell for about $30K more than this year and we probably would have been able to sell much quicker. But, we tried to price it right and based on the amount of activity we've gotten just in the last 24 hours, I'm hopeful that we won't sit on the market for ages and ages. We shall see!

Boy, there has been a lot of activity due to this post! =)

I will be praying for you guys. You never know the path that the Lord may take you on. May God give you wisdom.

If God opens doors in other areas, know that I would miss you but also be very excited for you!

I'm sure there are. Computer people are always needed, but I know your family and friends would be bumbed if you left. I'll be praying God gives you wisdom, patience, and removes any fear! Also that your house sells fast and for more then you anticipate!

If you move to Montana, can I sign on as a nanny/housekeeper/cook?

(Well... maybe forget the cook!)
