Almost every morning, Caleb and I eat oatmeal for breakfast. It is cheap, healthy and easy.
This morning, we ate oatmeal, but it was much better than usual. That's because today's oatmeal was in the form of homemade oatmeal cookies that my mom express mailed us. The health factor went way down, but the taste factor went way up, so I think it comes out even.
Thanks, Mom!
(I'd post pictures of the crumbs left on our plate and the smiles on our faces, but Josh isn't home this morning and he has the camera with him.)

Super Dad and His Amazing Super Glue
Recently a few of Caleb's toys broke and Josh was able to fix them with super glue. Caleb was obviously highly impressed because the following conversation occurred this morning.
Caleb: Aboon? Aboon? (balloon)
Me: Oh, sweetie, I'm sorry. The balloon popped yesterday, remember?
Caleb: Pop!
Me: Yep. It popped!
Caleb: Broke?
Me: Yep. The balloon is broken.
(thoughtful pause)
Caleb: Glue! Glue! Daddy, glue!

Little Joe

Some dear family friends rushed their 7-week old son, Joe, to the hospital yesterday. Please keep him in your prayers.

Summer Break and a You Tube Laugh
You've probably noticed that I've been quiet in blogland lately. Josh is on summer break and we have been busy hanging out and doing nothing =)
One thing we have been doing is watching Extreme Pete. Caleb loves dogs and he loves skateboards so I did a search on YouTube with those two words and Extreme Pete was the result. Caleb loves him and if your boy is anything like mine, yours will love him, too (Truth be told, if you're like me, you'll probably get quite a kick out of this as well)!

A New Hobby
I've been wanting to learn to knit and a new baby was the perfect excuse. There is nothing cuter than tiny knit hats and sweaters (not that either item is particularly needed here in Singapore!)
I wonder. . . which one our baby will wear: the pink or the blue?

Thanks, Kendra, for the tips on where to find a good teach-yourself-to-knit site.
