Redefining Cool
There was a hands-on-science day at one of the malls this weekend. There were tons of cool displays and projects for elementary-aged kids. Caleb was too young for most of it, but he did get a cool balloon hat out of the deal. By the way he was strutting around through the mall, you could tell he thought he was pretty darn cool. Kids are funny. . . they are gloriously oblivious to social protocol.

A Great Opportunity
For info on the fund raising dinner, click HERE.
For info on the work that Dustin is doing in Haiti, click HERE.
For obvious reasons, Josh and I can't attend the dinner, but we'd love to know we sent a few of you as our proxies.

Our Little One
This little one is exactly that. . . little. The doctor has been monitoring his/her growth with bi-weekly sonograms for the last 2 months because the baby is slightly below average on weight (thus the reason my mom thinks it is a girl). Thankfully, the baby has been growing steadily and is very active (thus the reason I think it is a boy) and so even though he/she is small, the doctor said she is not concerned.
If you think of it, please pray that the baby will continue to put on weight these last few weeks. The "average" baby weighs about 6.5 pounds by now. . . as of this morning, ours was about one pound below average. I'm hoping to have this baby pack on at least another pound (since bigger babies tend to be happier and sleepier) before birth.

Goodbye, Summer Vacation
All good things must come to an end. . . and summer vacation is no exception. Caleb and I got up early this morning to see Josh off to his first day back at work. And, we've spent the last few hours wondering around the house aimlessly, trying to figure out what to do with ourselves. I'm sure it will take a few days to get back into a routine. . . just in time to welcome the new baby!
Here are some pictures from the last few days of vacation.

Cowboy Boots
If you check my other blog, you'll know that we have a houseful of guests. They came heavy laden with gifts from California. One of the things they brought was a pair of cowboy boots for Caleb from my mom. I literally had to peel them off of him. I think he might be the first cowboy in Singapore!

Oatmeal for Breakfast
Almost every morning, Caleb and I eat oatmeal for breakfast. It is cheap, healthy and easy.
This morning, we ate oatmeal, but it was much better than usual. That's because today's oatmeal was in the form of homemade oatmeal cookies that my mom express mailed us. The health factor went way down, but the taste factor went way up, so I think it comes out even.
Thanks, Mom!
(I'd post pictures of the crumbs left on our plate and the smiles on our faces, but Josh isn't home this morning and he has the camera with him.)
